What collar size do I need?

When ordering your collar it is important to select the right size for your pet. Use the following guidelines below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us for help!

Buckle Collars

Also referred to as a flat collar, these collars Measure your dogs neck where their collar would typically sit with a piece of string or a cloth measuring tape.

-Do not leave extra slack around the neck when measuring

-Do not measure around your dog’s extra neck skin/flaps

-Do not put your fingers in with the measurement/add an extra inch or two

-For longer-haired dogs, make sure you measure as close to the skin as possible

This is all to ensure a proper fit!

If you use a string, lay the piece of measured string flat next to a traditional tape measure, ruler, or yard stick.

Unless otherwise requested:

-Your collar will be sized using 5 holes spaced 1/2" apart.

-The measurement you provide for neck size at check-out will be placed at the middle hole.

Tag Collars

Tag collars are made to safely hold ID tags and charms. Unlike other collars, tag collars should not be attached to a leash. They are 100% devoted to carrying your pets ID information!

Measurements should be taken

A. Where the collar would typically sit.

B. Your pet's head --This measurement is taken from just in front of the ears, around under the jaw, and back up--

Do not leave extra slack when measuring or this will result in an incorrect size. When ordering your collar, use the larger of these 2 measurements as the size ordered for your pet's collar. Please keep in mind that tag collars need to be just large enough to slip over your pet's head.

Non-Adjustable Cat Collars

Non-adjustable cat collars are made with a safety quick release buckle that will open if caught on something as your cat tries to pull away. They are made to your exact measurements provided when ordering.

Measure where a collar usually sits around your cat's neck by wrapping a tape measure around your cat's neck, allowing room to fit 1-2 fingers between the tape measure and the neck. This measurement will be your cat's neck circumference. (If you don't have a tape measure - use a piece of string and a ruler)

Alternatively, if your cat already wears a collar that fits well you can take it off and measure the inside circumference when it's buckled to find out your cat's neck size.

When fitting your cat's collar, make sure it isn't too tight or too loose. There should be room to fit 1-2 fingers between the collar and your cat's neck while still allowing for a snug fit.

Adjustable Cat Collars

Adjustable cat collars are NOT with a safety quick release buckle. They are made using a flat buckle and a d-ring to hold tags using your exact measurements provided when ordering.

Unless otherwise requested:

Combination Cat Collars

Combination cat collars are made with a safety quick release buckle that will open if caught on something as your cat tries to pull away, as well as an adjustable flat buckle and d-ring so the collar can grow with your pet and safely hold their tags.
