What happens if something on my collar breaks?
If hardware fails, a crystal breaks, or any embellishments falls off your collar, under normal wear and tear conditions we can repair it for you! In order to process repairs please include your name, shipping address, original order number, and list any repairs needed. Collars must be shipped to us for repairs WITH TRACKING!!
Posh Peach Collars is not responsible for items lost in the mail. Additionally, Posh Peach Collars will not be responsible for shipping charges. You will receive an invoice when repairs are complete for return shipping. The collar will only be mailed out after this invoice is paid.
What is "Normal Wear and Tear"?
Normal wear and tear can include: wear to crystals and crystal finishes, indents in the leather from the buckle, and changes to the leather from patina or exposure are to be expected. Sometimes a crystal or chicago screw can work itself loose.
Normal wear and tear does not include destructive behavior (such as chewing, rough-housing, etc.), damage to the collar from being used on a tie out, or damage to the collar or crystal finishes from exposure to pool chemicals and/or salt water.
How do I care for my collar?
Leather should be conditioned from time to time to clean and help preserve it. Leather conditioner can be found online or in your local leather store. Some leather conditioners cause certain leathers to darken. Read the instructions on the leather conditioner you purchase for proper use and directions.
To extend the life of your collar it should not be worn in WATER. This will harm the quality of the leather and, over time, allow it to stretch or break. Additionally, all leathers will “bleed” color when wet. This is especially noticeable on white dogs.
What do I do if my items were damaged during shipping?
All collars are mailed with tracking and insurance included to protect your purchase. If your product arrives damaged from shipping please follow the guidelines below.
The USPS requires specific photos of the damaged products and packaging to file a damage claim on line. All packaging and damaged items along with the undamaged items must be retained and be available for inspection if requested by the USPS until the claim is determined. These are the federal guidelines for filing a claim.
In order to process any reported damage claim photos of the damaged item and packaging are needed for our records, within 3 days of delivery. Unfortunately, without photos of the damaged items for records purposes I can’t process any refunds. These photos are REQUIRED.
What about customs fees and import taxes?
Buyers are responsible for any customs fees and import taxes that may apply. Additionally, we are not responsible for shipping delays due to customs.
It is highly important to note that these collars are not indestructible. Over time you may notice scratches in the leather from use, indents where the buckle sits, patina on hardware or embellishments, and changes in the crystals due to exposure or dirt buildup. This is the nature of these materials.
